Hello! I’m Shayla Hunter, a portrait photographer with a passion for capturing the essence of people in beautiful, timeless images. With many years of experience and a background in both the artistic and business sides of photography, my goal is to create photographs that tell your story and preserve meaningful moments.
Photography has always been a way for me to connect with people. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Photography and Visual Arts from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a Masters in Branding from The School of Visual Arts. During my time in New York City, I had the privilege of honing my skills working as a photo art director and photo editor for publications like US Vogue, Fortune, Money, People, and Refinery29. My work in media taught me how to create visually striking images that speak to the viewer on a deeper level.
Today, I’m based in Central Pennsylvania, serving the Harrisburg, Hershey, Lancaster, York areas and beyond. Whether it’s a portrait session, a special event, or capturing the milestones of your family, I bring my years of experience and artistic vision to every shoot.
